Polish Perfection: Pink Perfection!

I for one cannot get enough of pink in the summer. Light pinks, bright pinks, even deep almost red pinks get me giddy!

So when I was in Walgreens the other day picking up a Glade Car Airfreshner (HIGHLY recommended!), I saw a gorgeous shade by Sinful Colors that I had to have! Plus it came with an absolutely adorable beaded rose ring!

The shade is called Cream Pink, and like all of Sinful Colors' polishes- this one is also under $2!
How can you go wrong!?
Here are some of my other favorite summer shades that I have picked up along the way..

Go Ahead and Lash......

So, as many of you already know.... I both sell and use the mark. products!
I am very picky when it comes to mascaras because my lashes are already long and if a mascara is too watery- I blink and it is all in my eyebrows and on the top of my cheeks. If its too dry- it only lasts a week and I'm throwing it away because it barely provides color to my lashes...
Mascara is the essential eye make-up... I cannot leave my house without mascara on and I know dozens of women that feel the same!
Many people will tell me to shut up and stop complaining about this....but listen, it is still a problem.

So...earlier this month when mark. came out with a new High-Volume mascara called LASH ALL YOU WANT I knew I would have to try it... this ten buckaroo purchase is COMPLETELY worth the buy..

I love this new mascara because it provides me the coverage I need, in multiple colors[ Black, Brown/Black, Violet, my favorite: WINE].

Lash All You Want in Black ($10), iMark Shadows in Biscotti, Plum Velvet, Piccadilly and Fairy Dust ($5.each), No Place 2 Run Eyeliner in Jet Set($8)

Recommendation:

Apply your first coat from the base of the lash [for better coverage: it can help to blink into the brush] to the topmost point and hold the brush at the tips.

This will allow your lashes to curl on their own without the need for an eyelash curler. Before the first coat is dry, run the mascara wand over your lashes one more time to further seperate each lash.

Once your top lashes have had a minute to dry, lightly brush the mascara wand over your lower lashes. Keep away from the inner most point by your tear duct. We don't want spider lashes ::GAH!!!!:: and also don't want globs of mascara in our tear ducts!

----------------------------------------------
If you swear by your eyelash curler ....I know some of you are out there! ..mark. currently has a promotion for the Lash All You Want mascara PLUS an awesome mark. pink eyelash curler for $12 (Retail value of $17)

However...... The first customer to purchase a Lash All You Want mascara (on its own) will receive a FREE EYELASH CURLER from me, your mark. sales rep!!!

Friday's=Free Giveaway!

Hello Readers/Shoppers/Lovers and All~

I felt like playing up the blue in my eyes all this week and actually caught myself being rather boring by repeating the same make-up look three times this week! haha! Stop Judging.

I was able to do this using my mark Keep It Going Longwear Eyeliner & Shadow in Iconic.

1.) First I applied the Gold shade to only to the lower porting of my eyelid allowed for a softer, more subtle, look. Use your finger if you don't have a brush handy
::shadow is a cream::
(Right now* for $14, original value $17: you can get this @mark. eyeliner/shadow combo +PLUS a free application brush!)

2.) Lining my lower [inner] lashline with mark No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in White On highlights my eyes.
The intention of the white liner is to mimic the white of your eye and make your eyes appear wider and brighter.
3.) I then lightly brush mark No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jetset along my actual lash line, creating a clean, defined line.

4.) I applied one coat of mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven to my upper lashes and one quick coat to my bottom lashes!

Midtown Madness

This weekend I had family come up from Ohio~ two of which had never been to New York before. After arriving at 4pm Friday Afternoon, we decided to grab some dinner at Bravo!Nader in Huntington Village and catch a movie. We ended up seeing "Bad Teacher" with Cameron Diaz. It was hysterical! I would absolutely see it again.

Justin Timberlakes character was so over the top at times I could not control my laughter. He was like an innocent nerd-closet freak and it was great!
:Sympatico-Erotico: See the movie and you will TOTALLY get that!

Anywho.... Saturday we went over to the Deer Park outlet mall where I LOADED UP on all things Bath and Body Works, checked out the Juicy Couture and Betsy Johnstore stores and a few other decent sales.

That evening, we had gotten tickets to see a little off-broadway comedy musical at the Ha! Comedy Club off of 46th and 7th Avenue.
It was filled with adult woman humor about sex, love, lust, marriage, divorce, menopause, babies, eating,NOTeating, being bitchy and celebrating all things woman!

My younger cousins were there for the show, but I think it was a little too adult for them. However, Mom and I laughed our butts off!
If it travels- it is definitely something you and your girlfriends should go see! (Bachelorette parties!!!!!)

Nicole and I on the LIRR into Penn Station

Myself and Teresa on the LIRR train
After the show, we decided to partake in a bit of tourism & showed my younger cousins around Times Square and 42nd Street. We went to the Barbie Dream House inside of the giant Toys R' Us, followed by a trip to the M&M store & Ripley's Believe it or Not. We also made a pitstop at FOREVER 21 and I found some adorable jewelry and a summer hat that were all to die for..

Retro Owl Necklace, Forever 21 ($3)

Owl Peeper Earrings from Forever 21

I have a small obsession with Owl jewelry:)

Summer Hat from Forever 21 ($10.80)
Seeing as the top of my head ALWAYS gets sunburned when I go to the beach, park, etc. I got this abnoxiously large hat and I love it!

#1 reason to go and not to go to Manhattan:
Great deals----Great deals then lead to excessive money spending!!

Who else loses their self control to a good sale???

As you can see in the photo- my nails are GREEN! and  I am so-so-soooooooo obsessed!

1. Apply one coat of Sinful Colors in Mint Apple and let dry.
2. Select two or three nails to apply your OPI- suttle yet fabulous- Glitter shade " Last Friday Night".
3. Apply one or two coats[ depending on how much you like glitter]. I applied one coat since I was in a hurry.

Now the toesies.

1.)  Applying two coats of Revlon in Gold Get 'Em-let polish try after each coat.
2.) Using the super thin brush of  Matte Elite Nail Art Polish in SILVER, line the very top of the toe nail. The brush allows for an excellent line
(and since its glitter, even if you have a shakey hand- it will still look nice!)

Movie.Awards.&.Mark.Monday

I know I am not the only Twi-Hard in the world that only recorded the MTV Movie Awards on my DVR to re-watch a certain preview....over & over & over!!

Need I say more!?!?!?
Absolutely not, but I'm going to anyway:)

I personally think that Taylor Lautner deserved "Best Kiss"... But what are you going to do.
Here are a few screen shots of why I cannot wait for November 18, 2011!

AHHHHHHHH ::Screams like a 12 year old!::

________________________________________________________________________
Now... Jumping over to the red carpet--

I loved Reese Witherspoons dress! Absolutely adorable in the blue and brown combo!

I also think that the well-dressed ( with perfectly highlighted tresses) Emma Watson deserved "Best Actress" over the winner in that catefory [despite my Twilight Saga obsession].. Where are all of the Harry Potter fans at!?

Get Aubrey's Look! from the MTV Movie Awards, Created by mark. Celebrity Make-up Artist Mai Quynh!!

Aubrey Plaza of Scott Pilgrem vs. The World

I am all about the eye makeup done on celebrities. So the thing that caught my eye was obviously the technique and color usage used by Mai Quynh to create Aubreys look---

“I prepped Aubrey’s eyes by applying mark Please Hold Eye Primer in Light/Medium. I then used the mark All Over Eye Shadow Brush to apply mark I-mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Biscotti blended with Tiki all across her eyelid. Using the mark Angled Contour Eyeshadow Brush, I smudged Espresso into the crease of her eyelid and Tiki along her bottom lash line. To finish her eyes, I applied two coats of mark Lash Splash Hook Up Waterproof Mascara in Black.”

___________________________________________

I was feeling the need to play with my new mark. Keep it Going Longwear Eyeliner[Shadow Combo for $10] this morning and I played it up with my Gold and Green hues from my mark. On The Dot Eye Shadow Palette[$15]!
Check it out...

First I prepped my skin with my mark. Get a Tint Tinted Moisturizer in Ivory/Nude[$10].
I then dabbed mark. Get Bright Hook-Up Highlighter in Light [$6] around my nose and under my eyes to even out my skin tone.
I then applied my mark. Glowdacious Illuminating Powder[$12] to my check bones, the bridge of my nose and lightly over my forehead. This is the PERFECT summer bronzer as it has a nice shimmer and won't make you orange

Now.....Addressing my favorite feature~~~ my eyes

I lined my lower lid from the inner most point to the outter-most, along my lash line [as seen above]

Tip:: Wet your liner brush before dipping into your cream liner. It will allow for a smoother line!

Once your liner is applied, take your shadow brush and apply the gold shade from the On The Dot Palette to the entire lid ( stay away from the brow bone!)
Smudge in a bit of the green at the crease, while blending a bit into the liner at your lash line for a seamless look.

Tip:: Use a bit of the teal with your green shadow.. It will add to the depth of color and give a nicer contrast to the gold.

Once you have applied your gold and green shades, apply i-Mark in Whisper to the brow bone. You dont want to over-do the shimmer/hi-pigment look by having the white shade from your On The Dot Palette all the way up to your eyebrow.. Especially when you're going to the office....

I also like the look of a full lash, so I apply two coats of mark. Scandalash Hook-Up mascara in Blacklash[$6]..

To top off my earthy, yet spunky, shadow- I decided to wear my favorite summer top with my mark. Weave It to Me Belt- my new mark. summer tote and my Ibiza Sol Fragrance Spray!

Be sure to check out the LAST CHANCE section as some of the BEST mark. products wont be around much longer!!!
