Friday's=Free Giveaway!

Hello Readers/Shoppers/Lovers and All~

I felt like playing up the blue in my eyes all this week and actually caught myself being rather boring by repeating the same make-up look three times this week! haha! Stop Judging.

I was able to do this using my mark Keep It Going Longwear Eyeliner & Shadow in Iconic.

1.) First I applied the Gold shade to only to the lower porting of my eyelid allowed for a softer, more subtle, look. Use your finger if you don't have a brush handy
::shadow is a cream::
(Right now* for $14, original value $17: you can get this @mark. eyeliner/shadow combo +PLUS a free application brush!)

2.) Lining my lower [inner] lashline with mark No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in White On highlights my eyes.
The intention of the white liner is to mimic the white of your eye and make your eyes appear wider and brighter.
3.) I then lightly brush mark No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Jetset along my actual lash line, creating a clean, defined line.

4.) I applied one coat of mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven to my upper lashes and one quick coat to my bottom lashes!

Pretty-Side of Pennsylvania....

If you know anything about me...its that I despise driving straight across PA to get from New York to Ohio (to see family & friends).
It is the most ridiculous 8 hour drive you will ever take....It is a straight shot down the long Highway I-80 (or to those in the Tri-State= I-95)

However- if you take the drive during the day, you see some gorgeous blue skies (usually) and mountains of green.  In the winter, its a bit tricky to drive through the snow, but the glorious white and frozen waters are to die for!

When I switched from driving to become a passenger on the trip back and forth- I snapped a few shots that I thought were completely gorgeous. I truly believe the deserve to be posted.

Breath it in & Enjoy...

In the winter- water spills down the rocks and freezes. It's like millions of little waterfalls frozen in time.

Christmas in July

Typically I spend Thanksgiving or Christmas in Ohio but this year- I decided to take an early trip too! Call it my Christmas in July, if you will.

My cousin Kevin Rothacker fights for Strong Style in Independence, Ohio and was scheduled to fight in the Pro-fight for NAAFS. The fight was arranged to take place at Geneva-on-the-Lake in Geneva, Ohio.

First event of the day[before the fight]..... Hit the Wineries!
Giovanni and I at the Winery
It was humid, but the wine was great and so was the Pesto & Tomato flatbread pizza I ordered- Yum!!

Following two wineries- it was time to head over to the outdoor arena and meet up with our family to support Kevin to his big win!

Melissa(Kevins wifey-to-be) opted to join my brother Shawn on his new motorcycle.. Gio and I decided to speed up really quickly to snap a shot!

Shawn and Melissa
Once we arrived, we met up with family and Melissa started hustlin' her freshly made 'Rothacker' shirts! lol

They looked adorable on everyone!

Melissa, Nicole, Mom and Deb!
We watched a few of the amateur fights and waited patiently for the pro-fights to begin.. Just as the clouds and thunder began to roll in...=/

As the skies turned black it started to pour and hundreds of people ran for cover in the nearest bar. On a pleasant note: the cover band inside was thrilled to have such a large audience and we were all very happy to be somewhat dry.

As a result, the NAAFS postponed the fights to August 27,2011..... Since I won't be able to make it- best of luck to Kev.. Kill em ;)

Hope everyone has enjoyed this July... I can't believe that it is almost over..

Polish Perfection: [At- Home]Manicure

I had a really late night last night and fully plan to stay in tonight. Maybe order some steamed Chicken&Broccoli ::Yumm:: and prep my nails for Saturday's festivities...So, here are my tips that will lead you to the cutest manicure- while saving that ~OutOnTheTown~ moolah.

**The Perfect  Manicure **

Things you will need:
- Two paper towels incase of any spills!
-Cotton Balls or Pads
- Non-Acetone Polish Remover/ Strengthening
- E.L.F Cuticle Oil Pen ( $1.00 at ANY and ALL KMart Stores)
- Basic Emery Board/Nail File
- Cuticle Pusher
- Sugar Scrub
- Moisturizing Hand Lotion
- Clean/ Dry Hand Towel
- Your choice shade of polish =] ( I Used Sally Hansen Chrome Nail Makeup [not sure they even make this anymore].)

IMPORTANT rule: If you do not have experience cutting your cuticles- then DO NOT do it. This can lead to infections and hang nails. Neither of which are a good time! Get a nice Cuticle Pusher tool that allows you to clean under the nail and push back your cuticles rather then cutting.

Also- AVOID WOOD SURFACES- even non-acetone polish remover will strip the staining on any wood furniture. Believe me.... I've seen it happen.lol

Step 1:
Lay your two paper towels on the counter top or table.
Remove any previous nail polish on nails using a cotton ball/pad doused in the Non-Acetone polish remover. Be sure to hold your hand over the paper towels.

Step 2:
Wash and thoroughly dry hands and nails. Then~ File your nails to the desired shape and length. I like mine to be slightly rounded so that the squared edges do not snag.

Step 3:
Apply your E.L.F Cuticle Treatment to all nails. The chizzled tip will actually act as a Cuticle Pusher if you do not have one available

Step 4:
Using your sugar or apricot exfoliating scrub, gently rub the scrub and warm water in your hands for one to two minutes(max).

Soak your hands in warm water- I usually just fill up my sink with warm water and soak for two to three minutes.

At this point you can choose to use the Cuticle Trimmer if needed. It is definitely useful to remove any of the dead skin around the nails..

Step 5:
Wash and dry your hands and nails thoroughly. Massage your moisturizing hand lotion between all fingers and over all nails.
Step 6:
Using a cotton ball or pad and a little bit of polish remover, go over each nail to remover any remaining lotion, soap or oils from your nails.

Step 7:
Apply base coat and let dry!!

Step 8: Apply color coat (See-above)**
Step 9:Apply Super Shine or Speed Dry Top Coat.(I used Revlon Top Speed Dry Top Coat)

Usually, once my polish is dry, I will use my E.L.F Cuticle Treatment pen to go over my cuticle one more time for added moisture.
